NCC General

• NCC is offered in some Universities/Colleges in India as part of Discipline Elective Subjects & General Elective Subjects.
• Each year, Six NCC cadets from each NCC Group are awarded the Best Cadet awards from CWS.
• In Indian Air Force through SSB 10% of seats are reserved for cadets holding C Certificate
• The senior most rank consists of the Junior Division ANOs of NCC.
• SSB allows cadets holding C Certificate to reserve seats in the Indian Navy
• At OTA Chennai seats at NCC Special Entry Scheme are reserved for cadets holding a C certificate
• Junior-most ranks consist of senior division of NCC's ANOs.
• University Grants Commission/ Central Government staffs NCC General Instructors in NCC.
• HQ DG NCC is assisted by Five Deputy DGs
• HQ DG NCC is assisted by 2 additional DGs
• Junior most ranks consist of junior divison's ANOs
• NCC Senior Division ANOs have the senior-most rank with a Lieutenant, followed by a Colonel.

Drill

• In Saavadhan position shoulder must be parallel to the ground.
• In Vishram position Rifle Drill, angle formed at right elbow should be 45 degrees. Rifle in Salami Shastra, butt Should be Nine inches in front of the body.
• Bhumi Shastra, keep rifle in such a way that magazine will be facing Up.
• Six inches in front of the nose is where the barrel should be in Salami Shastra.
• The Right tip of right eye should be the spot for middle finger to touch in 'Samne Salute'
• 30 is the inches for the length of each step in 'Tez Chal'
• 45 is the degrees at the Right elbow in 'Samne Salute'
• In 'Nikat Line Chal', a cadet in middle line will take a position which is 45 inches behind from original position
• The cadet's final spot in 'Khuli Line Chal' is 45 inches in front of the original position
• If number of cadets in squad is 10 etc...., the second file from the left will have Middle and last
• The second file from the left won't have a middle cadet in squads of 11 etc..
• There three line squad, so the cadet number is equal to 9
• Least ranks of sqaud will have cadet who shouted number when the Kadwar Sizing is done with a squad that has 33 cadets
• Kadwar Sizing the Kadwar Sizing requires standing at the right-most position, in sequence with the first line
• While Kadwar Sizing the squad must be odd
• Body weight should be on both the legs at vishram

Weapon Training
