Safety Management System (SMS) Requirements
- All certificate holders as per § 5.1 are required to implement a Safety Management System (SMS).
- The SMS must comply with the relevant regulatory requirements as outlined in the General Authority of Civil Aviation Regulations (GACAR).
- For GACAR Part 145 Foreign Repair Stations outside of Saudi Arabia, SMS implementation is mandatory starting from January 1, 2023.
- SMS must adhere to stringent recordkeeping standards detailed in Subpart F of GACAR.
