Function A: Assessment

  • Initial entry point where members assess their condition after duty.
  • Members must remove Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) before entering the assessment area.
  • Rehab Sector oversees Accountability and assigns a responsible member to collect crew passports and measure pulse rates.
  • Purpose is to identify individuals needing more than a standard recovery period.
  • Members with no overexertion symptoms and normal vitals can return to duty post-REHAB without further evaluation.
  • A pulse rate exceeding 120 bpm triggers monitoring and tracking within the rehab sector.
  • Rest and hydration are provided, with re-evaluation of pulse after 20 minutes for those exceeding 120 bpm.
  • Immediate ALS treatment is administered for members showing Altered Level of Consciousness (ALOC) or irregular heartbeats upon entering Rehab.
