Vehicle Design

Overall Requirements

  • The vehicle must be an open-wheel, formula-style car with an open cockpit
  • The vehicle must be designed and built by the team, with the exception of the engine and tires

Chassis and Bodywork

  • The chassis must be a monocoque or a spaceframe structure
  • The bodywork must be made of materials with a minimum thickness of 1.5 mm
  • The bodywork must cover the entire chassis, with the exception of the cockpit and wheels
  • The bodywork must be securely attached to the chassis

Cockpit and Driver Accommodation

  • The cockpit must be designed to accommodate a driver with a maximum height of 1.85 m and a maximum weight of 80 kg
  • The cockpit must have a minimum width of 500 mm and a minimum height of 700 mm
  • The driver's seat must be securely attached to the chassis
  • The steering wheel must be located in the cockpit and must be designed to accommodate a driver with a maximum hand size of 22 cm
