Vehicle Design

Overall Requirements

• The vehicle must be an open-wheel, formula-style car with an open cockpit
• The vehicle must be designed and built by the team, with the exception of the engine and tires

Chassis and Bodywork

• The chassis must be a monocoque or a spaceframe structure
• The bodywork must be made of materials with a minimum thickness of 1.5 mm
• The bodywork must cover the entire chassis, with the exception of the cockpit and wheels
• The bodywork must be securely attached to the chassis

Cockpit and Driver Accommodation

• The cockpit must be designed to accommodate a driver with a maximum height of 1.85 m and a maximum weight of 80 kg
• The cockpit must have a minimum width of 500 mm and a minimum height of 700 mm
• The driver's seat must be securely attached to the chassis
• The steering wheel must be located in the cockpit and must be designed to accommodate a driver with a maximum hand size of 22 cm

Wheels and Tires

• The wheels must be made of aluminum or magnesium alloy
• The tires must be specifically designed for Formula Bharat competition
• The tire size must be 13 inches in diameter and 6 inches in width
• The tire compound must be dry-weather specific

Safety Features

• The vehicle must be equipped with a front impact attenuator
• The vehicle must be equipped with a rear impact structure
• The vehicle must be equipped with a protective crash structure around the cockpit
• The vehicle must be equipped with a fire extinguisher system

Electrical Systems

• The vehicle must be equipped with a 12V electrical system
• The vehicle must have a battery with a minimum capacity of 12 Ah
• The vehicle must have a starter motor with a minimum power output of 1.5 kW

Weight and Dimensions

• The vehicle must have a minimum weight of 280 kg, including the driver
• The vehicle must have a maximum length of 4.5 m
• The vehicle must have a maximum width of 1.8 m
• The vehicle must have a maximum height of 1.3 m
