Mandatory Retraining

  • Cross-certified deputies must take all mandatory retraining requirements as mandated by FDLE to maintain respective certifications.

Transfers

Seniority

Transfer Policy

Transfer Procedure

  • All applicants on the list will be notified via email by the department/division/unit making the selection that a selection has been made.

Cross-Certified Deputies

  • Basic cross-certification classes will be taken on deputies' own time and at their own expense.
  • BSO will activate the certification with FDLE upon successful completion of the class.
  • Cross-certified deputies transferred from one discipline to another will serve a one-year probationary period commencing on the transfer date.
  • Cross-certified deputies returning to their original discipline will not be required to serve a probationary period, but may be required to successfully complete a field training period.
  • Cross-certified deputies will successfully complete a field training program upon transferring to the other discipline.
