    Firefighter Accountability System (FFAS)

    • The FFAS is a crucial component of the Incident Management System (IMS) that allows the Incident Commander (IC) to track the number and location of personnel at an incident.

    Entry Control Officer

    • Can be any rank, responsible for managing entry control.

    Magnetic Accountability Tag (MAG TAG)

    • Each firefighter and officer must obtain their Mag Tag from the Station Board or spare Mag Tag from their Bunker Coat pocket when reporting for duty.
    • Attach Mag Tag to the Passport of the apparatus assigned to.
    • Driver's Mag Tag goes in the bottom slot, Captain's in the top slot, and other firefighters in designated slots.
    • Mag Tags are used to identify personnel and are associated with radio identifiers.

    Passport

    • Passports are kept in a designated holder on the Captain's door of each apparatus.
    • Driver ensures the Passport is in the vehicle at the beginning of each shift.
