Reporting Protocols
- Loss of fire department assets must be promptly reported to the Commanding Officer.
- All matters affecting the department's interest and welfare must also be reported to the Commanding Officer.
Emergency Response
- Off-duty members are on standby for major fires or emergencies; failure to respond without valid reason may lead to disciplinary action.
- Members recalled for emergency duty must report to the incident staging area or "Base" for assignments and sign out upon departure.
- Members must maintain updated telephone information with their Commanding Officer and Fire Chief's Office.
Code Enforcement Officers
- They serve as Customer Service Representatives upon request by Incident Commanders.
- They are called to respond anytime a fire suppression sprinkler system is activated.
- Captains among Code Enforcement Officers will carry a pager on a rotating basis, calling in the officer from a rotating list when needed.
Transfer Procedures
- A Request for Transfer form is necessary, detailing a valid reason and relevant documentation.
- Transfer requests must pass through the chain of command for approval.
- Permanent transfers require Fire Chief's approval.
Visitor Regulations at Fire Stations
