Fire Attack Packages
- A Fire Attack Package consists of a hose and nozzle composition designed for rapid fire attack in an efficient manner.
Attack 100 Bundle
- The Attack 100 bundle is a 100' long attack line, 1.78" or 1.75" in diameter, and approximately 6 feet in length.
- It is held together by three velcro straps and is designed to be used with a 100' supply side to create a modified Minute-man load.
- The Attack 100 can be operated independently or as an extension of attack lines.
- On District pre-connected crosslays, the initial 50' section of hose connected to the nozzle is colored (red or yellow), and the remaining hose is white.
- Combat Ready Attack 100 bundles are all the same corresponding discharge color.
- Non-pre-connected Attack 100 bundles are comprised of white hose.
Pre-Connect Crosslay
- The pre-connected crosslay is 200' long and includes a 6' tail section for disconnect.
- The hose load consists of an Attack 100 bundle connected to the supply side of a Modified Minute-man configuration.
- Two loops or bights are placed on the supply side, only on the deployment side, at the second fold and the fold following the 50' coupling.
- The connection of the Attack 100 bundle and the supply side is placed near the deployment side for expedient decoupling.
Blitz Line
- The Blitz Line is 200' of 2.5" hose, pre-connected to a discharge, and flat-loaded with alternating long/short folds.
- It is equipped with a 1 1/4" smoothbore tip and delivers 325 GPM.
- The Blitz Line is generally used for heavy fire conditions, large commercial fires, transitional fire attack, or exposure protection.
- Blue hose is used to indicate this hose load, and it is flat loaded in alternating long/short lengths with a 3" offset.
Bulk Bed
- The Bulk Bed consists of 500' of 2.5" hose, flat-loaded with alternating long/short folds.
- The hose is loaded from right to left, starting with the female coupling exposed.
- The end of the 2.5" hose is connected to an Attack 100 bundle via a swivel reduced.
- The Bulk Bed can be used in conjunction with or independently of the Attack 100 bundle based on incident objectives and tactics.
- White hose is used for this hose load, and it is flat loaded in alternating long/short lengths with a 3" offset.
Trash Line
- The Trash Line is 100' of attack line equipped with a Chief 175 GPM nozzle.
- It is generally deployed for trash fires, vehicle fires, overhaul, decontamination, and exposure protection.
- All Trash Lines use Combat Ready Hose.
