Becoming a Football Agent
- To become a Football Agent, a natural person must submit a complete licence application via the Platform, comply with eligibility requirements, pass an exam conducted by FIFA, and pay an annual fee to FIFA.
- By applying for a licence, an applicant agrees to abide by FIFA Regulations, FIFA Statutes, FIFA Code of Ethics, FIFA Disciplinary Code, and RSTP.
Eligibility Requirements
- An applicant must not have made false or misleading statements in their application.
- An applicant must not have been convicted of certain criminal charges, including organised crime, corruption, bribery, and fraud.
- An applicant must not have been subject to suspension or disqualification by a regulatory authority or sports governing body for failure to comply with rules relating to ethics and professional conduct.
- An applicant must not be an official or employee of FIFA, a confederation, a member association, a league, a club, or any organisation connected directly or indirectly with such organisations, unless representing the interests of Football Agents.
- An applicant must not hold any interest in a club, academy, league, or Single-Entity League.
Exam Procedure
- An applicant who satisfies the eligibility requirements will be invited to sit the exam at a member association selected in their licence application.
- The member association may charge an exam fee to cover the reasonable costs of organising and holding the exam.
- The exam will be a multiple-choice test prepared by FIFA, testing knowledge of current football regulations.
Licence Fee
- If an applicant passes the exam, they must pay the annual licence fee to FIFA within ninety days of passing the exam.
Licence Issue and Continuing Professional Development
- A licence is issued to a natural person for an indefinite period, subject to article 17, and is strictly personal and non-transferable.
- A Football Agent must comply with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements on an annual basis to maintain their licence.
Suspension or Termination of Licence
- A Football Agent may request a temporary suspension or permanent termination of their licence by submitting a substantiated request in the Platform.
- To practise as a Football Agent in future, a person who has previously terminated their licence must complete the full licence application process.
