  • If the office staff is unable to make an announcement and the tornado sirens are heard, students must evacuate immediately to the FEMA shelter.

Evacuation Procedures

  • All classrooms and adults will go to the FEMA shelter.
  • Bring Crisis Bag and Class List to the FEMA shelter.

  • If not in own classroom, do not go back to get items.

Entering the FEMA Shelter

  • North and South buildings will enter accordingly to the North/South FEMA doors.
  • Students and teachers will enter the gym and set up facing west, leaving an area down the middle lane for emergency access.

Inside the FEMA Shelter

  • The goal is to fit as many students within the white portion of the gym floor while leaving the Thick Blue line on the outside and the center isle for announcements and first aid.
  • Janssen and Horn will check off classrooms as they enter into the FEMA room.
  • Office staff will lock up the office doors and hang signs at the front entrance.
