Responsibilities and Duties
- The occupier has the responsibility to ensure that articles used in factories are safe.

- A person can be relieved from the duty of ensuring the safety of an article if they prove that they took all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of the article.
Inspection and Exemptions
- The State Government can exempt certain factories from the provisions of the Factories Act during a public emergency.
- Inspectors can be appointed for the purposes of this Act.
- Additional Inspectors can also be appointed for the purposes of this Act.
Health and Safety
- A penalty of up to two hundred rupees can be imposed for spitting within the premises of a factory.

Factory Conditions
