Key Research Terms
- Independent variable: something that is changed in a research study.
- Dependent variable: the one affected by the change in the independent variable.
- Subject: an individual who participates in a research study, also referred to as a participant.
- Sample: a smaller version of a larger group or subset of a larger population.
- Sampling method: a procedure for selecting sample members from a population, including random sampling, stratified sampling, and cluster sampling.
Research Methods
