Safety Sector
- Establish Safety Sector immediately after basic sectors are set up.
- A Staging Sector may be necessary as incidents escalate.
- For First Alarm Medical incidents, identify a Level II staging area to prevent congestion.
Medical Supply Sector
- Responsible for obtaining, delivering, and stockpiling medical supplies at the scene.
- Should be established during 3rd Alarm Medical incidents or greater.
- Medical Support 19 (from the airport) and a Medical Supply truck will be automatically dispatched at this level.
- Units dispatched will carry medical supplies, oxygen refill capabilities, and an oxygen distribution system.
LZ Sector (Landing Zone Sector)
- Established if helicopters are deployed, maintaining a safe distance from the incident scene.
- Keeps track of patient destinations and communicates landing instructions to aircraft.
- Enforces safety standards for landing zones, particularly in brush fire air support situations.
- At least one Engine Company will be assigned to support the LZ operations.
