Line: A stroke or mark.
Shape: An area enclosed by lines.
Form: A three-dimensional shape.
Color: The product of light interacting with an object.
- Value: Lightness or darkness of a color.
  - Tint: Light value of a color.
  - Shade: Dark value of a color.
Space: The area surrounding an object.
- Positive Space: The area occupied by the object.
- Negative Space: The area surrounding the object.
Texture: Visual perception of a surface's feel.

Rhythm: The flow or movement of music.
- Tempo: The speed of music.
- Beat: The pulse of music.
Dynamics: The softness and loudness of music.
Timbre: The unique quality of a sound, distinguishing different sources.
Harmony: The sound of two or more notes played together, accompanying the melody.
Melody: A series of notes played together, often the most memorable part of a musical piece.
Texture: Layers of musical sound.
- Monophonic: Single melody with no harmony.
- Homophonic: Most common type; a single melody with accompaniment.
- Polyphonic: Multiple melodies played simultaneously.

Body: The physical instrument used in dance.
Action: The movements performed by the dancer.
- Locomotor: Movements that change the dancer's location.
- Non-locomotor: Movements that do not change the dancer's location.
Space: The relationship between the dancer and the surrounding space, including other dancers.
Time: The rhythm, metered or free, of the dance.
- Clock Time: Seconds, minutes.
- Sensed Time: Perception of timing.
- Event Sequence: Internal and external signals influencing timing.
Energy: How the dance movements are performed.

Order of National Artists: The highest honor given to Filipino artists.
Categories: Includes visual arts, music, dance, theater, literature, film & broadcast, and architecture & allied arts.
Establishment: Created by Proclamation No. 1001, by former President Marcos on April 2, 1972.
Significance: The highest recognition for artistic achievement.

Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP): A national cultural institution.
National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA): Oversees other cultural organizations.
CCP Motto: "Katotohanan, Kabutihan, Kagandahan" (Truth, Goodness, Beauty).
National Artist Award upgraded: The Executive Order No. 236, series of 2003 elevated the National Artist Award to the Cultural Order.
