Knowledge Test Information
- Exam questions are from the Virginia Driver's Manual
- Two sections: Traffic Signs and General Knowledge.
- Traffic Sign section must be answered correctly (10 questions).
- 80% correct on General Knowledge exam multiple choice questions needed to pass
- Exam is given on a computer; an audio version is available
- Customers with special needs or requiring help should inform DMV staff.
- If knowledge exam is failed three times, the classroom component of driver's education must be completed before retaking the exam.
