Driving Permit Exam Verification Questions

• Three verification questions are now part of the driving permit practical exam, starting January 2, 2023.
• Questions cover various topics: vehicle function, road safety, and first aid.
• The examiner uses the last two digits of the vehicle's odometer to select the question.
• Correct answers earn one point, maximizing potential points to 3 points.
• Incorrect answers do not eliminate the candidate.

Question Examples

Question 1 & 65: Interior Check

• Action: Show the headlight height adjustment.
• Answer: The adjustment lever is usually on the left side of the steering wheel.
• Road Safety: Why adjust headlights? To avoid dazzling other drivers.
• First Aid: How to safely mark an accident scene? Clearly and extensively mark the danger zone.

Question 2 & 66: Exterior Check

• Action: Where is the windshield washer fluid reservoir?
• Answer: The candidate opens the hood and indicates the reservoir.
• Road Safety: Why special winter washer fluid? To avoid freezing.
• First Aid: What to do on a SAIP (Public Alert and Information System) alert? Seek safety, then confirm with authorities' media channels.

Question 3 & 67: Interior Check

• Action: Set the interior mirror to night mode.
• Answer: If automatic night mode exists on vehicle, show this.
• Road Safety: Night mode benefit? To prevent dazzling from following vehicles.
• First Aid: Description of SAIP warning? Composed of two distinct tones.

Question 4 & 68: Exterior Check

• Action: Check tire tread.
• Answer: Must be in good condition, no tears or bulges. (Any problem must be conveyed)
• Road Safety: Recommended tire pressure? Reference guides provide pressure guidelines.
• First Aid: How to pinpoint a highway accident location on a phone? Provide highway number, direction, and kilometer mark.

Question 5 & 69: Interior Check

• Action: Turn on wipers at maximum speed.
• Answer: Utilize the lever on the right-hand side of the steering wheel.
• Road Safety: How to detect wear and tear? Rainy weather, smeared windshield.
• First Aid: How to check for breathing in a victim? Observe chest and belly movements and exhale detection.

Question 6: Exterior Check

• Action: Check license plates.
• Answer: Front and back plates must be clean, legible, and in good condition. (Any problem must be conveyed.)
• Road Safety: Precautions when installing a bike rack? Ensure visibility of license plates and lights.
• First Aid: Definition of loss of consciousness? (Not provided)
