Law Enforcement Response to Alleged Incidents of Abuse

  • Law enforcement agencies must respond to alleged incidents of abuse in the same manner as other crimes, without assigning lower priority.
  • Officers should inform the abused party of available judicial remedies and shelters for victims of domestic violence.
