Disciplinary Committee Powers
- The Disciplinary Committee can reprimand, strike off the register, or suspend surveyors for:
- Infamous conduct in a professional respect
- Conviction of an offense considered incompatible with the status of a surveyor
- Fraudulent registration
- The Committee can defer its decision for up to six months
- Appeals can be made to the Federal High Court within 28 days of the decision
- A person removed from the register can apply to be re-registered
- The Committee can prohibit re-registration applications for a specified period
Offenses
- Practicing or presenting oneself as a surveyor without proper registration is an offense
