Primary Sectors

• Agriculture is the primary sector and main source of raw materials and basic needs.
• Livestock raising is a sub-sector of agriculture involved in animal care and meat production.
• Expanding the country’s territory is NOT a benefit of agriculture.
• Shrinking of agricultural land happens due to land conversion for houses, factories and businesses.
• The expansion of the Philippines is NOT an effect of rapid deforestation.
• Building ports helps the fishing sector by providing a landing place to sell the catch.
• The secondary sector processes raw materials into products.
• The industrial sector is important because it helps in the country’s development.,
• Animal husbandry, mining, utilities aren't the secondary sectors of the industry
• Utilities consists of companies meeting the needs of the people in water, electricity, and gas.
• High levels of pollution is a negative effect of industrialization.
• The sector creates finished products that meet the needs of the citizens, and provides jobs.
• The tertiary or third sector of the economy is also known as the service sector.

Service Sector

• Meeting the needs of the family is a positive effect of the informal sector.
• Businesses avoid lengthy transactions so are more likely to participate in the service sector
• External trade does NOT result in dependence on important goods.
