Desuggestopedia Goals

Concert Phases

The second concert involves the teacher reading the dialogue at normal speed, after which students read over the dialogue for homework.

Active Phase

The active phase involves students engaging in activities to gain facility with new material, such as dramatizations, games, songs, and question-and-answer exercises.

Student-Teacher Interaction

The teacher initiates interactions with the whole group and individuals from the beginning of the course.
Students initially respond nonverbally or with a few target language words, later gaining more control of the language.

Student-Student Interaction

Students engage in activities that promote interaction and collaboration.

Student Feelings

A great deal of attention is given to students' feelings, with the goal of making them relaxed and confident.
