The Windows Desktop is the operating system's main screen, providing access to tools like the Start Menu, Taskbar, and other icons.
The Taskbar sits at the bottom of the screen, giving access to the Start Menu, application icons, and the Notification Area.

Icons

Icons are graphic representations of applications or files that can be opened by double-clicking on them.
