What is CTET?
- CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test
- It is a national-level exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers in schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, etc.)
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum qualification: Class 12th with at least 50% marks and a diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a degree in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
- Age: No upper age limit
Exam Pattern
- Paper I: For teaching Classes I to V (Primary Stage)
- 150 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions)
- 2.5 hours duration
- Paper II: For teaching Classes VI to VIII (Elementary Stage)
- 150 MCQs
- 2.5 hours duration
- Candidates can choose to appear for either Paper I or Paper II or both
