Control Valve

• Control Valve is used to control fluid flow by varying the passage size as directed by a controller's signal
• Enables direct control of flow rate and consequential control of process quantities such as pressure, temperature, and liquid level
• Considered the most important part of a control loop, but often neglected

Automatic Regulation

• Control Valve automatically regulates pressure and/or flow rate

Metering Pump

• Moves a precise volume of liquid in a specified time period, providing an accurate volumetric flow rate
• Many Metering Pumps are rated to pump into a high discharge pressure
• Unable to pump lubricating oil
• Typically consists of a pump head and a motor

Solenoid Valve

• Differ in characteristics of the electric current they use
• Differ in the strength of the magnetic field they generate
• Differ in the mechanism they use to regulate fluid
