P-Channel JFET Construction and Operation

  • The construction of a p-channel JFET is similar to that of an n-channel JFET, with the only difference being the reversal of p-type and n-type materials.
  • The operation of a p-channel JFET is shown in Fig. 9.46 and Fig. 9.47.
  • The action of drain current is reversed compared to an n-channel JFET, with current flowing due to the majority of negative Vgs voltage.
