- The full communion of the whole mystical body of Jesus Christ, especially the memory of the dead.
- Christians pray for the dead to be freed from sins.
- Prayers can help the deceased in their journey towards God.
The Suffering Church
- Some people die suddenly and aren’t able to confess their sins before death, and thus may still need purification, which is purgatory.
- Purgatory is a state of final purification for those who die in God's grace but haven't been completely purified of imperfections of their nature.
- Those in purgatory are still in communion with the living and receive prayers and masses.
The Pilgrim Church
- The Church on Earth—Baptized individuals who also live towards salvation.
- Is the sacrament of salvation for people
- The Church is a sign and a way for God's people to come together.
- The Church is also an instrument for the communion of God with all humanity.

The Triumphant Church
- The Church in Heaven, where saints receive eternal reward and blessedness.
- The fullness of life and direct contemplation of God, or the beatific vision.
- A foretaste of heavenly communion can be experienced through the Eucharist.
- Saints and Angels praise and give thanks to God with those on Earth sharing prayers with them.
Spiritual Goods Shared by Christ's Believers
- Faith of the faithful is the faith of the Church.
- Sacraments are means of sanctification, especially the Eucharist, which builds Christian communities.
- Charisms are spiritual gifts given to help everyone.
- Wealth: "They had everything in common" (Acts 4:32).
- Charity: "None of us lives for oneself, and no one dies for oneself" (Rom 14:7)
- "If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if one part is honored, all the parts share its joy. Now you are Christ's body, and individually parts of it” (1 Cor 12:26-27).
Intercession of Saints
- Saints in Heaven continue to intercede with God for the living.
- They offer the merits they acquired on Earth through Christ.
- Their fraternal concern helps those still on Earth.
Those in the State of Grace
