Role Overview
- Reports to: Representative
- Purpose: Implements corporate communications strategy, manages publications, influences the development agenda, promotes public and media outreach, and mobilizes political & financial support for UNFPA.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements communications/advocacy strategies aligned with corporate strategy.
- Crafts user-friendly online communications & advocacy materials (e.g., messages, website content).
- Contributes to the creation of advocacy & knowledge products.
- Facilitates dialogue through webinars and other activities.
- Develops advocacy strategies based on audience analysis.
- Supports the Representative with communication (speeches, op-eds, media engagement).
- Strengthens communication skills in the Bangladesh Country Office.
- Advises on communication strategy and knowledge management.
- Provides substantive advice in outreach & knowledge sharing with partners.
- Develops online tools, surveys, and pilot projects.
- Participates in report writing & paper development.
- Tracks & documents program achievements, disseminating best practices.
- Promotes UNFPA visibility and best practices.
- Creates & promotes campaigns in local/regional media.
- Manages & disseminates corporate advocacy materials.
- Performs any other duties as required.
Skills & Experience
- Advanced degree in digital communications, educational technology, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
- 5+ years experience in advocacy and online communications.
- Knowledge in UNFPA mandate areas (a plus).
- Experience working in a multicultural, web-based environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop & manage online applications.
- Excellent English writing, editing, communication, and advocacy skills.
- Working knowledge of other UN official languages is desirable.
