Expectations of College of Business Recruitment Ambassadors

Training covers essential topics including general membership, event scheduling, attire, and points system.

Training

Mandatory training sessions require active participation and an average score of at least 80% on quizzes.
If not meeting the 80% threshold, cumulative quizzes must be taken until a score of 90% is achieved.
Monthly general body meetings are held on the first Sunday at 2 PM via Zoom in the fall semester.
Review training manual at the beginning of each semester; the Executive Board may introduce new information throughout the year.
Engage with peers and ask questions to enhance collaboration and understanding.

General Membership

Ambassadors must earn 4 points in a semester to remain active.
Attendance is critical; missing no more than one assigned event is required.

Event Scheduling

Arrive at events 15 minutes early; notify desk workers of your presence and wear your nametag.
If unable to attend, find a replacement and inform the Director of Scheduling.
Engage positively with students and parents, maintaining professionalism even amidst rudeness.
Do not answer specific questions about Financial Aid or Admissions; redirect inquiries appropriately.
Clarify vague questions to ensure accurate understanding before responding.

Ambassador Attire

Required to wear nametags and Ambassadors gear or Clemson colors (orange or purple shirts).
Acceptable pants include khakis, jeans (no tears), skirts, and shorts; leggings are not permitted.
Avoid hats, visors, or sunglasses; maintain a neat and professional appearance.

Points System

Four points are required each semester to stay active; points can be earned through:
- Family info sessions: +1 point
- College events: +1 point
- Approved “Clemson Experience” activities: +1 point (max 2 experiences per semester).
Points can be lost by missing events (-2 points); missing two events risks potential removal subject to an Executive Board hearing.

Welcome families by introducing yourself with details such as year, major/minor, hometown, and campus involvement.

Powers College of Business

Features a dual-tower, five-story structure.
Ground floor includes Phyfer Auditorium and Melvin & Donnie Younts Trading Room, equipped with 24 Bloomberg Trading Terminals.
First floor amenities feature La Madeleine (French café), Garrison Sales Lab, Econometrics Lab, Erwin Center for Brand Communications, and Department of Finance labs.
