The Johari Window
- A technique for enhancing self-awareness and understanding relationships with oneself and others.
- Developed by psychologists Joseph Luft and Harrington Ingham.
- Used primarily in self-help groups and corporate settings.
- Represents an individual through four quadrants (Open, Blind, Hidden, Unknown).
- Each quadrant reflects information known or unknown to oneself or others.
- The goal is to enlarge the 'Open' pane (information known to both self and others)
The Open Area
- Things that you and others know about you
The Blind Area
- Things that others know about you, but you are unaware of.
The Hidden Area
- Things that you know about yourself but others don't.
The Unknown Area

- Based on trust and sharing information with others and receiving feedback.
Additional Notes
