  • Contractor Responsibilities: Contractors must comply with railway rules for bookings, delivery, invoicing, and accounting.
  • Security Deposit: City/Out Booking Agents require adequate security, covering satisfactory contract completion and monthly outstanding costs. Agents with monthly turnovers exceeding Rs. 1 lakh need a bank guarantee alongside the security deposit. The security deposit is equivalent to one month's turnover; large agents' bank guarantees cover six months' turnover.
  • Separate Charges: Additional costs are imposed for transport between railway stations and City/Out Booking Offices (including road or ferry services).
  • Rights of Other Railways: New Out-Agencies must consider the interests of other railways operating in the same region. Consultation with other railways involved is needed before making any decisions regarding an out-agency that may impact another railway's interests.
