Cardiovascular System Overview

The cardiovascular system is composed of the heart, blood vessels, and blood.

Heart Function

The heart has four chambers: the left and right atria (upper chambers) and the left and right ventricles (lower chambers).
The atria receive blood, while the ventricles pump blood out of the heart.
