The Sun, its Light and its Heat
- The sun, its light, and its heat are distinct but inseparable, illustrating the concept of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).
- Just as the sun cannot exist without its light and heat, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are always together and never separate.
The Equilateral Golden Triangle
- The equilateral golden triangle represents the Holy Trinity, with three connected lines made of the same material (gold).
- The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are connected, equal, and have one Holy Nature.
- Each person of the Trinity has distinct qualities: the Father is the origin, the Son is begotten of God, and the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father.
The Holy Spirit
- The Holy Spirit is God, as stated in the Bible (Job 33:4).
- After baptism, we receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, in which the Holy Spirit dwells in us, making us children of God.
- The Holy Spirit supports us in our lives through the means of grace (praying, fasting, reading the Holy Bible, repenting, confessing, and receiving communion).
- The more we practice the means of grace, the more we grow spiritually and are filled with the Holy Spirit.
- Examples of the Holy Spirit's work include the wise virgins with full lamps (ready and prepared) and the foolish virgins with empty lamps (not ready).
- The fruit of the Holy Spirit is evident in our lives when we live with God through the means of grace, manifesting as love, joy, peace, and other virtues (Galatians 5:22-23).
