- Lighting fixtures, ventilation, smoke detectors, wood molding, and ceiling board are shown in reflected presentations.
Considerations for Ceiling Plan Design
- Distance from Floor to Ceiling: Consider the distance between the floor line and the ceiling line level.
- 3-D Aspects: Study the three-dimensional aspects of volumes and space.
- Materials and Finishes: Consider using unexpected materials or finishes.
- Light Reflection and Sound Absorption: Take into account light reflection and sound absorption.
Ceiling Heights According to Philippine Law
- Habitable rooms with artificial ventilation must have a ceiling height of at least 2.40 meters (measured from floor to ceiling).
- For multi-story buildings, the first story minimum ceiling height is 2.70 meters, the second story minimum is 2.40 meters, and succeeding stories must have an unobstructed head-room clearance of at least 2.10 meters above the finished floor.
- Mezzanine floors must have a clear ceiling height of at least 1.80 meters above and below.
Drafting a Ceiling Plan
