- The Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam has an English section.
- The exam duration is 2 hours.
- The maximum marks are 100.
- The test booklet contains 120 questions.
Instructions for the Exam
- Choose only one response for each item.
- All responses should be marked only on the separate answer sheet.
- All items carry equal marks.
- There is a penalty for wrong answers in the objective question papers.
- For each wrong answer, one-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
- If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer, even if one of the given answers happens to be correct, and the same penalty as above will be applied.
- There is no penalty for questions left blank.
