    Applicability

    • Applies to approved aircraft / engine manufacturing and maintenance organizations registered in India intending to provide basic aircraft maintenance training.
    • Also applies to existing training organizations approved under CAR Section 2 Series E, provided they make long-term arrangements with approved maintenance organizations for practical training.

    Scope

    • Sets requirements for organizations seeking approval to conduct Basic maintenance training as outlined in CAR-66 and Rule 133B of the Aircraft Rules, 1937.

    General

    • A training organization must be a registered legal entity.
    • Sufficient staff is required to plan, perform, and conduct training, examinations, and practical assessments.
    • Other organizations can be used to provide practical training, but their staff must be nominated to carry out training and assessments.
    • A person can serve as an instructor, examiner, and assessor, provided they meet specific requirements.
