  • A building permit is required for constructing, altering, repairing, converting, moving, adding to, or demolishing a building.
  • Exemptions from building permits:
    • Minor constructions (e.g., sheds, poultry houses, greenhouses) less than 6 sqm and for private use only.
    • Open terraces or patios not exceeding 20 sqm.
    • Window grilles.
    • Garden pools 500mm deep or shallower.
    • Garden masonry walls not exceeding 1.20m in height.
  • Requirements for a building permit:
    • OCT or TCT.
    • Tax declaration.
    • Current real property tax receipt.
    • Contract of Lease or Deed of Absolute Sale (if lot is owned).
    • Five sets of plans and specs, signed and sealed by professionals.
