    BC Building Code Establishment

    • The BC Building Code adopts:
      • Book I (General), Divisions A-C of the 2020 National Building Code of Canada, as of March 28, 2022, with specified changes.
      • Book II (Plumbing Systems), Divisions A-C of the 2020 National Plumbing Code of Canada, as of March 28, 2022, with specified changes.
    • The 2018 Code is applied where section 6 and 8 specify

    Accreditation of Standards Development Organizations

    • Several organizations are accredited standards developers for Canada including AHRI, ASTM, BNQ, CGSB, CSA Group, IAPMO, ULC, and UL.
