- The breast extends vertically from rib 2 to rib 6, and horizontally from the sternum to the midaxillary line
- The breast is positioned deep to the pectoralis major and serratus anterior muscles.

- The breast is innervated by intercostal (2-6) and supraclavicular nerves, making it very sensitive.
Breast Blood Supply
- The breast receives arterial blood supply from various branches of the axillary artery:
- Superior thoracic artery
- Thoracoacromial artery

Breast Lymphatic Drainage
- Lymphatic drainage from the nipples, areola, and lobules of the breast initially flows into a subareolar lymphatic plexus.
