  • There are 6 blocks in the area of Physical Education (EF):
  • Block 1: Active and Healthy Life - Focuses on physical, mental, and social health components through the development of positive relationships in functional contexts of physical-sporting practice, incorporating gender perspective, body acceptance, and diversity.

Content of Bloque 1

  • Rejects antisocial or unhealthy behaviors in these areas
  • Emphasizes the importance of healthy and responsible nutrition

Bloque 2: Organization and Management of Physical Activity

  • Covers 6 differentiated components:
    • Selection of physical practice
    • Preparation of motor practice
    • Planning and self-regulation of motor projects
    • Use of material, space, and facilities
    • Management of safety before, during, and after physical activity
    • Knowledge of one's own body and its implication in sports practice

Bloque 3: Problem-Solving in Motor Situations

  • Has a transdisciplinary character
  • Covers three key aspects:
    • Decision-making
    • Efficient use of qualitative and quantitative motor components
    • Creative motor processes

Bloque 4: Emotional Self-Regulation and Social Interaction

  • Focuses on developing processes to regulate emotional responses to physical activity and sports
  • Develops social skills and promotes constructive and inclusive relationships among participants

Bloque 5: Manifestations of Motor Culture

  • Covers three components:
    • Traditional motor culture
    • Contemporary artistic-expressive culture
    • Sports as a cultural manifestation, from an integrative perspective

Bloque 6: Efficient and Sustainable Interaction with the Environment

  • Covers three aspects:
    • Use of the environment from a motor perspective
    • Conservation from a sustainable perspective
    • Shared character of the environment from a community perspective

Pedagogical Orientations

  • Game as a fundamental element (global and playful character)
  • Significant projects using non-directive methodologies (guided discovery, problem-solving, and free exploration)
  • Cooperating work and motor challenges, reinforcing self-esteem, autonomy, reflection, and responsibility
  • Methodologies that consider different learning rhythms, capacities, and values
  • From simple to complex tasks (problem-solving in real-life contexts and unknown contexts)

Interdisciplinary Approaches

  • Links Physical Education (EF) content with other areas of the stage (e.g., reading comprehension, oral and written expression, audiovisual communication, digital competence, active and healthy lifestyle, creativity, scientific spirit, and entrepreneurship)
  • Considers the regulation of communicative processes, development of interpersonal relationships, conversion of spaces and materials into learning opportunities, and transfer of acquired knowledge to nearby social contexts
