Bernalillo County Fire and Rescue (BCFR)
- BCFR operates as a paid, professional fire department under the Public Safety Division of Bernalillo County.
- The Fire Chief is responsible to the Board of County Commissioners through the County Manager and the Deputy County Manager of Public Safety.
- The executive staff consists of the Fire Chief, Deputy Chief of Administration, and the Deputy Chief of Operations.
- Each of the following divisions are led by a Division Chief: Fire Prevention, Logistics, EMS, Training, and Support Services.
Organizational Structure
- The department is organized into: Department, Executive Staff, Divisions, Battalions, Districts, and Unit Staff.
- Divisions report to Deputy Chiefs: Administration (Logistics, Fire Prevention, Support Services) and Operations (EMS, Training, Field Operations).
- Battalions are responsible to the Deputy Chief and act as a District Chief.
