Study Notes

Come prepared for all lessons, rehearsals, and performances with necessary materials.
Bring instrument, pencil, and music to all scheduled activities.
Practice individually for a minimum of 45 minutes weekly outside of scheduled band time.
Attend band class with instruments every Tuesday and Thursday.

Recognize that participation in the Band requires teamwork and commitment.
Maintain a positive attitude during rehearsals and practice sessions for successful collaboration.
Submit signed practice sheet weekly to earn practice points from the teacher.

Inform the teacher about any questions or concerns during lesson time.
Address instrument issues immediately before or after rehearsal, not at the start.
It is essential to attempt to fix instrument problems during class time instead of skipping participation.
Being unprepared due to forgetting the instrument results in lost points for that session.

Contribution to band lessons, rehearsals, and concerts accounts for 50% of the total grade.
Weekly practice sheets also make up 25% of the grade.
Full participation in both Winter and Spring Concerts is mandatory.
