- The Assam state Cabinet has approved the merger of four districts with their constituent districts.
Delimitation of Constituencies in Assam
- The Election Commission (EC) announced the delimitation process of Assembly and Parliamentary constituencies in Assam on 27th December.
- The delimitation process will be based on Census data from 2001.
