Artificial Intelligence Overview
Artificial Intelligence, often abbreviated as AI, can seem like a mysterious concept due to its complex nature. At its core, artificial intelligence is a branch of computer science concerned with developing machines capable of exhibiting human cognitive abilities such as learning, problem solving, decision making, perception, reasoning, and creativity. It's the study of how to make computers do things that would require intelligence if done by people. AI technologies fall into three main categories: Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Deep Learning. Each category represents different ways of teaching a computer system how to process information. For instance, machine learning involves feeding large amounts of data into a computer so that it can learn patterns and improve over time without being specifically programmed to do so. Lastly, deep learning uses multiple layers of neurons to recognize patterns in images and extract them more accurately than conventional methods.
