Anatomy in Relation to the Heart
- Ascending Aorta: Main artery carrying blood from the heart, first part of the aorta.
- Brachiocephalic Trunk: Branches off the ascending aorta into Right Subclavian Artery and Right Common Carotid Artery.
- Aortic Arch: Curved section connecting the ascending and descending aorta.
- Thoracic Aorta (Descending Aorta): Travels through the chest cavity, supplying blood to chest, abdomen, and legs.
- Left Common Carotid Artery: Branches from the aortic arch, supplying blood to the left side of the head and neck.
