Structural Organization of Tissues in Animals

Multicellular animals are constructed from diverse types of cells that assemble into specialized groups called tissues. Epithelial Tissue

Muscular Tissue

Muscular tissues generate force and movement through contraction. They are further divided into three types: skeletal, smooth, and cardiac.

Nervous Tissue

Nervous tissues primarily consist of neurons and neuroglial cells. They coordinate and transmit signals throughout the body via the nervous system.

These tissue types work together to form organs, which subsequently organize into organ systems that execute specific functions. For instance, the digestive system includes the liver, pancreas, and stomach, while the circulatory system consists of the heart and blood vessels. Understanding the structural organization of tissues is crucial for comprehending the intricate workings of complex animal bodies.
