In House + Not In House
- In house indicates items scanned in but not signed out, such as items scanned in when loan status was uncertain.
- Filters can be added to the analysis without appearing as a column.
- Click the filter icon then More Columns
- Items Loaned a Long Time Ago analysis shows how to find outstanding or lost books.
- Applying the filter Loan Status helps find items with a loan status equal to/is in Active or Complete

Timestamps
- Timestamps can be further researched via Google
- "Due Date" should be "Due Date" BETWEEN TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY,-14,CURRENT_DATE) AND TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY,-1,CURRENT_DATE).
- SQL means structured query language
- TSI means timestamp interval
- Create a widget if there is a report to run daily.
- It is also possible to use admin analytics to create Analytics Objects to email specified email addresses at time intervals.
- Linked analysis allows for comparing options, like patrons of a certain role versus patrons without.
Concatenation
- Concatenation combines data from two columns into one.
- Analysis name example: practice - Users and their statistical categories.
- Formula example: CONCAT(CONCAT("User Details"."Last Name", ', '), "User Details"."First Name").
- The video at timestamp 28:30 show shows how to display all statistical categories related to a patron; just change the first column by dragging and dropping.
- The video at timestamp 30:45 explains how to change a column to show the count of any given piece of data.
- The video at timestamp 48:50 shows how to add a table prompt to avoid excessive scrolling. Instructions: click on the pencil icon in the results table, then drag and drop into Table Prompts.
Sets
- The video at timestamp 56:30 discusses Sets
- Change displayed values such as changing "None" to "[blank]" with REPLACE("Request Details"."Cancellation Reason", 'None', '').
- Information regarding formulas and functions can be found online.
- "%" (multiple) and "_" (single) serve as wildcards to filter a range of numbers
- Can be seen in slide 11
- "Subtotals" helps list subtotals in columns throughout the analysis
- "Totals" helps list total number of rows.
Mathematical formulas
- One column shows the number of loans, another shows loan days.
- A third can divide loan days by number of loans, useful for seeing high and low usage to decide if items need to be purchased or withdrawn.
- The number of days between order and receipt can be shown.
- This is useful for seeing which vendors are the fastest and slowest.
- Column prompts (not variable or image) are available
- Enables choosing the date range by going into the Dashboard (see Loans by Date).
- Prompts with options show any or all potential fields.
- Can be used to see just active, completed, or rejected digitization requests, or all request types
- The function >2 can be done by COUNT(DISTINCT "Location"."Library Code" by "Bibliographic Details"."MMS Id") >= 2.

Combining Subject Fields
- It's possible, references say fields should be in the same subject area
- Analytics Objects are Dashboards, Widgets, or Scheduled Reports.
- Access is based on roles.
Dashboards
- Charts and graphs show "at a glance" for numbers.
- A dashboard can be created in Analytics > Create > Dashboard > settings.
- To be visible, it needs to be an object: Analytics folder > ... Dashboard.
Adding Tabs to Dashboard
- In Analytics, go to the Dashboard > Settings > Edit dashboard > drag and drop analytic into tabs.
- Dashboards can be edited from the xyz in a box.
Widgets
- Widgets provide quick daily glances and can be opened in a new window to prompt.
Scheduled Reports
- Good for tracking things like in transit items.
Permalinks/URLs
- Follow steps to slide 26 to run a report to get a list of permalinks.
- This adds a URL to an Omni search, but must be copied and pasted.
- To get a hyperlinked URL (that only works when downloading as a sheet): '=HYPERLINK("' || 'https://ocul-lhd.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/search?query=any,contains,' || "Bibliographic Details"."MMS Id" || '&tab=MyInst_and_CI&search_scope=MyInst_and_CI&vid=01OCUL_LHD:LHD_DEFAULT&offset=0' || ","Link to Primo")'.
Monthly Columns, Pivot Tables and Fiscal Keys
- An example can be found in the shared LU reports > Ed TBay Stats Omnibus > Omnibus TBay Ed Stats - myReadings - 2021/2022.
- To create a pivot table: Results tab > Views box > bar graph icon > Pivot Table.
- Resulting pivot table should appear in the main viewing box. The original table may still be there until it is deleted.
- Edit either table by clicking the pencil icon or deleting it.
Table Layout
- If selecting the pivot table, the Layout box will appear.
- Select pivot table and move months into columns.
- Then move measure labels into Rows
- Pivot Table edit view: select gear icon, then Hidden, to hide unnecessary measure labels.
- To order months correctly, add the month numbers and names (month key) and hide the numbers.
- To hide month numbers go to tab across the top and select Criteria > gear icon in relevant block > Column Properties > Column Format tab > Hide box.
