- Occurs when a law enforcement agency receives a request for response or learns of an alarm system activation
- A response occurs when the call is entered into the dispatch system, regardless of whether an officer physically responds
Alarm Business Requirements
- Alarm business shall provide the following information when requesting law enforcement response:
- Physical address of the alarm site
- Date and time of alarm system activation
- Florida State license number and name of the alarm business monitoring company
- Phone number at the alarm site
- Name of key-holder representative
- Estimated time of on-scene arrival of key-holder representative (if applicable)
- Alarm user's name
- Notes on location within the alarm site of the activation
- Toll-free phone number for contacting the alarm business monitoring facility
