- Inmates who pose a serious threat to life, property, self, staff, or other inmates may be administratively removed from general population and housed according to their individual needs.
- A classification resulting in an alternate living assignment for an inmate whose placement in the general population poses a serious threat to life, property, self, staff, or other inmates is called administrative segregation.
- The placement of an inmate into administrative segregation must be authorized by Classification Unit staff and/or the Inmate Management Team.
- An inmate may appeal their placement in administrative segregation to Standard Operating Procedure Inmate Grievances and Requests.
- Each inmate in administrative segregation will be reviewed weekly by the Inmate Management Team.
- All mental health observations, disciplinary reports, and contact card information will be reviewed for possible status changes.
- The Administrative Division Commander or designee(s) will communicate with each inmate in administrative segregation at least one (1) time per week to assess the inmate's attitude and general condition.
