Study Notes
Time Estimates
- Three time estimates are used to calculate the time estimate (te) for each activity: optimistic time estimate (to), most likely time estimate (tm), and pessimistic time estimate (tp).
Formula for Time Estimate (te)
- te = to + 4tm + tp
Calculated Time Estimates
- Activity A: te = 2 + 4(5) + 8 = 24 -> te = 6
- Activity B: te = 2 + 4(3) + 4 = 30 -> te = 5
- Activity C: te = 6 + 4(8) + 10 = 72 -> te = 12
- Activity D: te = 2 + 4(4) + 6 = 30 -> te = 5
- Activity E: te = 2 + 4(6) + 10 = 66 -> te = 11
- Activity F: te = 6 + 4(7) + 8 = 54 -> te = 9
- Activity G: te = 6 + 4(8) + 10 = 90 -> te = 15
Network Diagram
- The network diagram for the project is constructed using the calculated time estimates.
Time Estimates for Each Activity
- Activity A: te = 4
- Activity B: te = 6
- Activity C: te = 10
- Activity D: te = 12
- Activity E: te = 9
- Activity F: te = 21
- Activity G: te = 22
- Activity H: te = 5
- Activity I: te = 3
