Emergency Equipment Locations
- Primary crew at 3L and 3R shall check emergency equipment at forward EY cabin
- FO shall check equipment in the FCRC and Primary 4L check in the CCRC
- Slide raft is attached to all cabin doors
- Row 38, 39 & 40 ABC & HJK - Stretcher Provision
Mask Operation
- To don the mask:
- Remove the mask from its stowage box by squeezing the red grips towards each other and pull the mask out of its box
- This allows the stowage box to open with the mask being supplied with oxygen, harness inflating, and microphone activated
- To remove and stow the mask:
- Squeeze the grips to inflate the harness
- Remove the mask
- Place the mask back into the stowage box
- Press the TEST/RESET pb
- Press the EMERGENCY selector and check that the oxygen flow indicator remains black
Aircraft Cabin Altitude Warnings
- At 9,550 ft:
- Continuous repetitive chimes in the Flight Deck
- Fasten Seatbelts, No Smoking, and Exit signs come on automatically
- If it is not possible to reach the passenger cabin, the flight crew should evacuate the aircraft via the flight deck hatch, by using the escape ropes
PIC Vital Actions
- COMPLETE Flight Deck shutdown Checks
- ORDER Passenger Evacuation (Press EVAC COMMAND to ON)
- PROCEED to MID CABIN with Flashlight and supervise passenger evacuation
- CHECK all passengers and crew have evacuated
- Ensure Transmitter / First Aid Kit / Flashlight / Megaphone / External Survival Kit are taken
- LAND · Evacuate at nearest exit · Take Command · Supervise on ground
- DITCHING · Ensure passengers and crew board the raft · Board raft and take command · Supervise raft duties
Co-Pilot Vital Actions
- COMPLETE Flight Deck shutdown Checks
- PROCEED to FORWARD STARBOARD CABIN with Flashlight and supervise passenger evacuation
- CHECK all passengers and crew have evacuated
- ENSURE Transmitter / First Aid Kit / Flashlight / Megaphone / External Survival Kit are taken
