- The arresting or transporting law enforcement or prisoner transport officer, deputy, detective will secure all ammunition, lethal weapons, and less than lethal weapons (to include firearms, knives, and impact weapons) prior to the prisoner being removed from their vehicle.
- Any arresting or transporting officer entering the Intake and Release Unit area with a dart-firing stun gun will not be permitted facility access past the 152 slider.
- Unconscious, seriously ill, or seriously injured persons will not be accepted into the facility unless medically cleared. The on-duty charge nurse will make the final determination regarding the requirement for medical clearance prior to admission into the facility.
- If medically cleared for acceptance into the facility, but an infectious disease is then indicated, the individual will be placed in a holding cell separate from others being processed for evaluation by medical staff.
